Contracts

Change Order

Work that is added to or deleted from the original scope, which alters the original contract amount and/or completion date.

Managing Change Orders

A change order is a standard industry document that amends the construction contract. It describes the new work, the price change, and any schedule adjustment.

Process

  1. Identify the change
  2. Price the change (sub quotes, labor, materials)
  3. Submit to the owner for approval
  4. Get signed change order
  5. Execute the work
  6. Bill per the change order

Software

Modern change-order management is built into field-first construction software. Photos, signatures, and pricing are captured in the same platform.
