What is a Field Inspection?
A field inspection is a documented check of physical conditions performed on-site by an inspector, engineer, or qualified technician. Field inspections are the most common form of construction and property QA/QC.
Common Types
- **Pre-pour** — formwork, rebar, and embedment checks before concrete
- **Pre-drywall** — mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in
- **QA/QC** — verify work matches specifications
- **Safety** — OSHA-aligned hazard identification
- **Final** — closeout and turnover
